If you are applying for permanent residency within the U.S., you will be paying a much higher rate starting on April 1st, 2024.
USCIS is increasing the filing fee for Adjustment of Status) for adult applicants from $1,140 to $1,440, an amount that includes the biometrics fee previously submitted separately.
However, the rest of the case that must be filed with an adjustment of status has now been unbundled, and you have to pay a separate fee for each benefit. While some fees have decreased, permanent residency within the U.S. will go up significantly. Currently, an applicant for permanent residency would pay $1,760. As of April 1st, 2024, the fee for one applicant will be $3,005. See the chart below.
